Liverpool City Archers was formed in 1978 and is one of the largest archery clubs in Sydney. The club venue is considered one of the best in Sydney with a large Target Range, 14 target World Archery (FITA) Field Course, Clout Range and Indoor Facility.

Liverpool City Archers are located on the banks of the Georges River, just 1.5kms from Liverpool Station and only 400m from the Morebank Ave exit of the M5 Freeway and provides a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

The club officially shoots every Saturday and Sunday from 9am. Members receive a key and have 7 day a week access to the facilities.

Liverpool City Archers conduct regular Archery "Come N Try" sessions to provide new people with a taste of Archery. We also conduct formal instruction as well as provide advanced coaching. All instruction is conducted by trained and Archery Australia accedited Instructors and Coaches.

No matter what type of equipment you use Recurve, Compound, Longbows or Crossbow you are welcome. Note – Hunting arrows and camo clothing are not permitted to be used on the club grounds.

Potential new members wishing to join the club who have not been through an approved Archery Australia Instruction Course must be assessed for competency and ability by a Committee Member.

High drawing is not permitted.

There is a 60lb bow weight limit. 

The 60lb rule will be stictly enforced and bow will be weighted.

The club reserves the right to refuse membership or access to any person breaching either of these rules.



Hunting Arrows


Only arrows fitted with Target or Field points are permitted at Liverpool City Archers. Hunting arrows or arrows fitted with hunting heads (Broadheads) are NOT PERMITTED.


A member found to be using Hunting Arrows will be immediately expelled from the club with no refund of Membership Fees. Police will also be called as we will consider this to be vandalism.


We  also conduct regular club shooting activities with Shoot of the Week conducted on a regular basis as well as a Handicap Summer, Indoor, Spring and Field League that caters for all members irrespective of their skills and ability. We operate the Archery Australia Handicap System ensuring all members have an equal opportunity.

Regularly we conduct QREs (Qualifying and Ranking Events) as well as tournaments that attract entries from archers from other clubs.
